Sven chose the JUICE BOOSTER 2 because it enables him to charge his vehicle flexibly and safely with automatic current detection at any CEE industrial and domestic socket

With the JUICE BOOSTER 2, which Sven also refers to as his Juicy Booster, and the relevant adapters, Sven can charge his vehicle at any CEE industrial or domestic socket – right up to 22 kW. That means that Sven's Renault ZOE is fully recharged after his one-hour lunch break, so he's ready to travel to his next business appointment. Even if the available charging current isn't as high, Sven just uses the appropriate adapter. Best of all, the JUICE BOOSTER 2 uses the adapter to automatically detect the maximum permitted current on the socket – so you can just plug in and start charging. Sven highlights that automatic current detection was one of the main reasons for his decision to buy the product. Given that he often charges his vehicle at different sockets, he doesn't want to have to worry about currents that need adjusting.

If Sven wants to set a different current from time to time, it's of course easy to do so. Safety is again the priority here, as Sven – using the SELECT button – is only able to set a current that is lower than that automatically detected by the adapter. In this process, JUICE BOOSTER 2 remembers the current level until Sven replaces the adapter. This means that the JUICE BOOSTER 2 also charges with the most recently set charging power after a power cut.

 

Sven also feels like he's on the safe side as a Renault ZOE driver

Sven jokes that Renault ZOE drivers know that everything's allowed to have its quirks from time to time, and that goes for the ZOE too. The JUICE BOOSTER 2 detects the difference between DC and AC fault currents, and switches off if there is a DC fault current of 6 mA or more. This means that Sven can charge safe in the knowledge that DC fault current protection is preventing any DC fault currents that occur in the RCD type A installed locally becoming blind, and therefore no longer triggering in the event of a risk.

The JUICE BOOSTER 2 adds a charging update to both the Renault ZOE R240 and the Renault ZOE Q210. Old models of the ZOE Q210 are retrofitted by Renault workshops free of charge so that they fulfil the applicable specifications. However, excessive fault currents can occur depending on the quality of the network. If the JUICE BOOSTER 2 interrupts charging due to an AC or DC fault current being detected, we recommend switching to a different charging power.

 

Sven uses the JUICE BOOSTER 2 to charge at home and at public charging stations using a type 2 socket

In order to avoid the high costs of installing a charging station, he also charges his Renault ZOE at home with the JUICE BOOSTER 2. On the other hand, he finds constantly moving the JUICE BOOSTER 2 in and out of his electric car annoying, and is considering having a fixed charging station installed for greater convenience. Sometimes, he also leaves the JUICE BOOSTER 2 plugged into his CEE industrial socket at home for longer periods of time.

With the matching type 2 socket, Sven can charge his vehicle at any public charging station with a type 2 socket, meaning that he doesn't need an additional charging cable and gains space in his luggage compartment.

The JUICE BOOSTER 2 is fully theft-proof. The mobile charging station can only be unlocked by means of the electric car itself and then removed. Sven can charge his ZOE with the JUICE BOOSTER 2 even in heavy rain – and he doesn't have any worries about whether someone might accidentally drive over his JUICE BOOSTER 2 because after all the product is designed to be driven over without any damage caused.

Schnelle Abwicklung des Auftrags mit Geschäftsleasing. Nach 2 Tagen war die JB2 im Hause. Natürlich sofort an einer CEE 32A mit einem i3 getestet. Einfache Bedienung und Ladung startete sofort. Der i3 lädt aber nur mit max. 11 kw . Ist aber kein Problem, denn auch Zuhause wird der JB2 mit einer CEE 16A prompt geladen.
Sollte als Standardkabel bei jedem Elektrofahrzeug dabei sein :-)
Ein Muss!! Eine CEE dose langt und man ist im Schnelllade Geschäft.

Der mitgelieferte Lader für den i3 müsste ein 'Juice Booster 2' sein! Bei 11kW / 16A in knapp 2 Stunden wieder voll! Bei 32A so schnell wie eine professionelle Ladestation. Mit diesem Teil hat man immer eine Schnellladestation dabei!

Kaufgrund für den Renault Zoe waren bei mir die vielfältigen Lademöglichkeiten. Um diese Karte im Alltag auch wirklich ausspielen zu können, hab ich mich für den neuen Juice Booster 2 entschieden und bin damit voll zufrieden. Strom gibt es nun mal überall und jetzt kann ich auch wirklich überall laden - ein beruhigendes Gefühl. Dass die Ladestation ganz nebenbei mit dem passenden Adapter noch mein sperriges Typ2-Kabel für öffentliche Ladepunkte ersetzt hat, freut mich umso mehr. Bluetooth wäre natürlich noch schön gewesen, aber Preis/Leistung stimmen beim Juice Booster 2.
